The SAMO 2022 Roadmap
It goes without saying that this year has been absolutely explosive for not only the Solana ecosystem, but the Samoyedcoin community too. Since first launching in April 2021, SAMO has become one of the biggest community coins in all of crypto. Although we’ve always aspired to become the most impactful and value-add community coin in crypto, we continue to be amazed by the amount of adoption, interest, and love that has come our way in such a short period. Notwithstanding the growth we’ve seen year-to-date, we know that this pup is still plenty young, and the community has yet even to scratch the surface of what’s possible.
Now that the year is quickly coming to an end, we wanted to let the community know what the Samoyedcoin Team will be focused on in 2022. In this post, we provide a preliminary roadmap for 2022 and briefly summarize each initiative. It should be noted that this roadmap is subject to change depending on the opportunities that present themselves, market conditions, and the demands & wants of the community. Be that as it may, we will continue to stay true to our mission of showing the Solana ecosystem love & support, being a trusted resource for people to lean on to better understand all things Solana, and the most efficient, distributed, trusted, and fun dog money in all of crypto.

What’s Ahead in 2022?
Although we outline below key initiatives that the team will focus on in 2022, we recognize that there are several weeks left in 2021. That said, we will continue to tackle and prepare for the various initiatives on the 2022 roadmap as part of our desire to finish the year strong. Note that the following initiatives listed below are not listed in any particular order, and 2021 initiatives are not included below (such as NFTs).
Relaunch SAMO Raids
To date, only a few SAMO Raids have been carried out — all of which were well received. Given its success, we intend to host bi-weekly raids in 2022. As a reminder, a SAMO Raid is when the community storms another project’s Discord at a coordinated time to show another Solana project love, support, and congratulate them on any recent successes.
Relaunch SAMO Meme Contests
Much like SAMO Raids, our first few meme contests where community members could submit their best meme(s) to earn SAMO proved to be successful. We intend to hold a weekly meme contest where the community is provided a “meme theme” with 1 week to submit their best memes. The first-place winner will receive $75 worth of SAMO, and the second-place winner will receive $50 worth of SAMO.
Launch “More SAMO Mondays”
While a few community members have already hosted a few “More SAMO Monday” events where everyone committed to buying more SAMO and sharing screenshots of their purchase, the team intends to lead the charge on this initiative and make it a weekly community-building event.
SAMO New Year Fitness Challenge
As part of the new year, we’ll host a fitness challenge where community members post a before & after photo to show off their progress. The most improved community members will receive SAMO. This will be an excellent opportunity to push and motivate one another to become healthier while also opening the door for community members to learn from one another on how to exercise, eat, and rest smarter.
SAMO Academy
Crypto is still a relatively new industry that is attracting newcomers each and every day. As exciting as crypto may be, it is also INCREDIBLY overwhelming and many don’t know where to start. That’s where SAMO Academy comes in - a one-stop-shop for newcomers to learn more about the industry and the Solana ecosystem, as well as keep up with ongoing developments. SAMO Academy will be focused on offering visitors high-quality educational material. Not only that, but SAMO Academy will provide the community the tools and resources to research, analyze, and present their unique findings within the cryptoasset ecosystem.
“The Watch Dog” Weekly Crypto Newsletter
Given all that goes down each week, many long for a trusted resource that provides a comprehensive yet concise overview of what happened and what’s ahead. With this in mind, we intend to launch “The Watch Dog,” a weekly newsletter for community members to read to understand better what’s going on in Solana and crypto.
SAMO Stats Twitter Bot
Several useful data points can help individuals better gauge SAMO’s adoption and success. Accordingly, we will launch a Twitter bot that tweets out several data points so community members can actively monitor how fast this pup is growing.
SAMO “Hall of Memes”
If the future is as bright as we all believe, there will inevitably come a day where the OG SAMO memes hold a lot of social value, recognition, and admiration. For instance, there are a plethora of memes associated with several online communities that are (arguably) attributable to their success. Accordingly, we intend to launch SAMO “Hall of Memes,” where the top SAMO memes will be cemented in history for all to look back on and admire. Over time, making the “Hall of Memes” will be looked at as a massive accomplishment for community members.
“Diggin’ Deep” Podcast
Sometimes, things are best heard from the horse’s mouth. For this reason, we intend to launch the “Diggin’ Deep” podcast, where we bring on the smartest and most hardworking minds within the Solana ecosystem to pick their brains on what they’re building, where we are headed, and what has them excited. Much like SAMO Academy, the purpose of these podcasts is to serve as educational material for those in the ecosystem to become more informed and educated on what kind of innovation is taking place.
“The Alpha Dog” Twitter Spaces
It should come as no surprise that the SAMO community has smart and talented individuals following the Solana ecosystem religiously. We intend to bring these community members onto a Twitter Space to discuss what they’re keeping an eye on and where they may see opportunity to capture alpha (abnormal returns).
SAMO Merch & Swag
Because we all know that SAMO is the cutest ambassador in the game, we’ll be creating SAMO merch and swag for community members to get their paws on so they can proudly represent the community in real life.
SAMO “Stick & Pic”
To help spread awareness, we will launch a campaign to send out SAMO stickers to community members and ask them to share a picture on social media of where they stuck SAMO.
SAMO IRL Meetups
As great as it is to connect and chat with one another over the interwebs, you can’t beat a face-to-face conversation. With this in mind, we will be looking for opportunities in 2022 to organize in-person meetups where community members can meet one another, hang out, and geek out over their favorite doggo and crypto projects.
Marketing Event #1, #2, #3, #4, #5, #6
For several reasons, we will not be listing what specific BIG marketing events we plan to execute in 2022. However, what we can say is that the community is going to love these marketing events. :)
Collabs, Global Reach, Ad Hoc Marketing Initiatives, & Merchant Adoption
While we intend on pursuing the aforementioned initiatives next year, we also plan on continuing to do what we have been doing: exploring new opportunities to collaborate with other Solana projects, expanding our global footprint by forming and building Samo Famo communities in other parts of the world, and pursuing ad hoc marketing initiatives to raise awareness, onboard new users to the Solana ecosystem, and grow the community. We will also be aggressively exploring opportunities for SAMO to be accepted as payment.
