SamoTIPS — Solana Season Hackathon reveal

Hi everyone! With the Solana Season Hackathon submissions closed, we would like to share what we have been up to the last few weeks. We noticed that Solana had a void that needed filling and we also wanted to create a new use case for the SAMO token along the way. So, the dev team set out to make those ideas a reality, and our creation will be showcased to everyone during the Solana Season.
What is it all about? Well, to keep it short, we thought of an idea to introduce Solana to the wider audience, a way we felt perfectly shows how fast and affordable Solana is. By making it easy for any individual, and especially content creators, to receive tips using Solana, we hope the word can spread even outside the circle of people currently involved in the ecosystem. That’s why we opted to build the cutest tipping solution on Solana, SamoTIPS. Promoting SAMO as a perfect tipping option, we also have a first real use case for the token. Not stopping there, we will also provide you with everything you need to set up a tipping corner of your own, so read on!

Even though the submissions ended a few days ago, we have been silent with our reveal because we were also working on an additional tool to make it easy for you guys to integrate tipping on your sites. We call it SamoTIPS Generator and it will generate a HTML embed code you can use to setup a tipping portal of your own. Simply enter your receiving wallet address and a name you wish to be displayed, and the generator will provide you with the code you need. You have a few formats to choose from as well as direct iframe or button to popup options if you prefer those. It should work on any platform as long as it is able to accept HTML.
The best part? This is just a taste of what we have planned and things yet to come. Wanting to provide tipping to the community as soon as possible, we covered only the most used wallets and tokens to have a quick launch. Sollet.io and Phantom wallets are supported for now and a few other tokens besides SAMO. As time goes on we will most definitely be adding more. Additionally, we have big plans to integrate the tipping solution into multiple other platforms and make tipping with SAMO even easier for everyone.
